For Sale:
NWT RLBL 15" Collar Shirt, Blue Check, Semi Spread Collar, 100% Cotton

Will Ship To: Anywhere

For sale I have a very nice RLBL shirt with a semi spread collar and barrel cuffs. The most popular size here on SF - 15" collar. The RLBL model name for this style of shirt is "Bond", if that helps any?

Made in Italy from 100% cotton - a good quality fabric as you would expect from RLBL. The pattern is a navy blue/royal blue check with a fine white windowpane; good for business casual or with denim. Semi spread collar and single button barrel cuffs. Standard MOP buttons. Back pleats.

Tag includes spare buttons and collar stays. Unpinned to take measurements, but now refolded and pinned. I'll ship this in a box to guard against the collar being compressed.

Asking price is $150 -> $140 -> $130 shipped CONUS or the EU

Measurements
  • Shoulder 18"
  • P2P 20.5"
  • Waist 19.75"
  • Sleeve 26" (measured from shoulder seam)
  • Total length 31.75" (measured down back from BOC)

Is it a sport shirt? With the spread collar it looks closer to a formal/business dress shirt.

Can OP confirm?

I always thought the real difference between sport shirt and dress shirt is whatever the manufacture like to claim. I would wear this as sport shirt (not all my sport shirt are button down, and some of my dress shirts are button down as well). Some prefer sports shirt to fit looser than dress shirt, but again some just like it to fit looser all around. It's probably a bit hard to pull off a sport shirt with ridiculous big spread collar, but this is not, hence my reason for calling it a sport shirt.

Also given the pattern I will prefer to wear this as sport shirt instead of dress shirt, definitely not with a suit anyway. I always prefer "cleaner" looking shirt with suit, let the tie speak itself with a clean background is my usual idea.

Bond is a great cut...........trim, but not skin-tight.

Now if your definition of formal is khaki or odd trouser, then this would work great for your "formal" occasion, guess it depends on you

I'm not sure of the exact definition of a sport shirt, if I'm honest. The collar is really only a semi-spread and is not stiff at all.

Also, a price drop.

The more I look at it, the more I realize it would look great as part of an SC combination (khaki-colored trousers, navy SC, and a solid blue knit tie).
