Ralph Lauren Purple Label charcoal suit made by Chester Barrie (England). This is a truly amazing suit that I bought off SF member davesmith as a pre-worn item. The suit is in perfect condition – no loose threads or marks anywhere. I only wore it once to a wedding. I decided to sell it since my work doesn't require me to wear a suit and I need some funds to pay off student loans. Tagged size is 40R (US) and trousers measure 33W (US) with 2” room to let out. I wear a standard 40R in most brands and this fits me perfectly. Most of you will know about the construction of RLPL Chester Barrie suits so I will not explain much further. This is a beautiful and timeless staple suit with classic features. If you were to have only one suit ever, this would be it!
Jacket: 100% wool, full canvas, single breast, 3-roll-2 button, notch lapel, moderately padded wide shoulder in the structured Savile Row style (similar to Brioni), double vents, ticket pocket, surgeons cuffs, “RLPL Douglas” silhouette (narrow waist which flares out at the bottom).
Trousers: pleated, side tabs and suspender buttons (no belt loops), uncuffed.
