Probably because there are lots of commies out there, not many who would identify themselves as nazi/fascist. You can associate with the political aspect and not support the dictatorship.

If my memory serves me correctly, a cafe owner in an Asian country vigorously yet spuriously defended his right to call his establishment "Hitler's Cross" by arguing that it could be referring to any Hitler, not necessarily the infamous one. This despite the murals of the dictator inside.
