Dressing up for job interview... what to wear?

I have never dressed up and I never really cared about style until now. (jeans and tshirts type of guy)

I will be having my first "formal" job interview in 2 weeks time.

I'm a male, 22 years old, 5'3", 135lbs, short dark hair.

What should I wear? Where can I purchase it? What size am I?
What color tie? Shoul I even wear a tie? shoes, what type of shoes?

If you can't find that^^^:

-Bue suit
-White shirt
-Black shoes
-Conservative tie

-Haircut
-Shave
-Clean nails
-NO cologne
-NO jewlery(unless you are married and wear a ring. also a watch)

^^ everything ter1413 said..And don't be f%6&ng late..Interviewing bunch of candidates the whole week and some of them has no freakin clue of being prompt. Not a very good impression.. Good Luck !

As an interviewer do you mind if people are early? Not like an hour, but say 15 minutes? I got to an interview last week pretty early and the secretary was a little kerfuffled because the guy wasn't done with his current interview, didn't know where to stick me.

I don't think that's a big deal, but my practice was to arrive early and hang out somewhere close by until it was close to the time for my interview, rather than sit and wait in the lobby for 15-30 minutes.

This. (I'm an HR Manager and do a good bit of interviewing)

Don't 'report in' more than 15 minutes early. You could be inconveniencing them. Plan to arrive at the building location 30-45 minutes early (plan for traffic, wrecks, etc), but don't actually arrive to the receptionist until about 10 minutes prior.

That really depends on his build. Boys' suits tend to be narrower in the shoulder and chest. At 135lbs at that height, he doesn't sound slight, and he may well have a build like me - short but with fairly wide shoulders and chest. Anyway, only he can tell us his measurements!

Thats possible, but in that case, he may need a boys husky.

At his height, even a 34S would likely be too long and likely too tight. a 36s...forget it.

True, although it depends on his leg length and the balance between his top and bottom halves of his body.

Interviews are tricky! But no matter what, always dress well. First impressions still hold true. A subtle classic fit navy suit should do

I wear jeans size 32 (waist) x 30 (28 for perfect fit) length and medium-sized tshirts (some are a bit longer than others, but they all fit me horizontally).

This isn't really enough to help you much more (you sound like you have a relatively short upper body but you aren't thin)... if you are in a large city, then you might find that there is a store that specializes in clothes for small men. If not, try a store that has men's, youth's and boy's suits, get measured and try things on. That's all I can suggest.

Absolutely right. Hardly deserves an interview if he cannot even find this.
