First suit - Need critiques and tailoring suggestions

I recently purchased my first suit off the rack in Korea and I need some more opinions/critiques on the fit. So far I only had the waist of the trouser taken in and the trouser length shortened. I have a really skinny upper body so I left the jacket unaltered. From my opinion I thought the fit of the jacket was okay and going any slimmer might be a little unflattering.

I got some previous critique saying that the jacket looks too big especially in the shoulders and chest and that the trouser length is too short and makes me looked bow legged. I already made the purchase so I don't think I can return the suit so I just need some more opinions and suggestions as to further alterations I can do to make the fit better.

Also if the trouser length is too short is it possible to lengthen them slightly without any problems? From what it looks like it seems that the bottom part of the trouser were folded outside in and sewn to shorten the length.

No one? I'm going back to the States next Monday and I need to fix whatever problem I can with the suit by tomorrow.

It's not too bad for a peg suit IMO. I like the sleeve length and the length of the jacket. Maybe it's a bit baggy around the waist but that can't be sorted quick, unless you happen to be a tailor. Maybe the trousers are a little too long for the width of the trouser bottoms but you don't want ankle swingers either.

I agree. It looks fairly decent for a suit off the peg!

The trousers are weird. They seem to pull from the sides, plus the front break looks OK, yet you can see the socks from the back. Needs a slanted hem, and maybe they're a bit too slim for your leg shape. The jacket is passable, perhaps a size big, but a little shaping might help...

So should I get the waist taken in a little bit? I can probably get that done by next Monday, the department store does it for free.

Could it just be the shoes? Or the length on the back of the trouser a tad too long? I plan on wearing this suit with AE park avenues if that makes things any different..

I plan on working out/bulking up a little bit soon so would it be better to leave the jacket alone? Or should I still get the waist taken in a little bit?

The length of the trousers looks OK from the front, but not from the back. See if they can do a slanted hem, i.e., longer in back than in front. When I say they might be a little slim it's because you seem to be bow-legged (nothing wrong with that) and the slimness of the pants doesn't let them fall straight. Either that, or there's something with trouser fit that causes that leg shape, but I'm not sure what it is.
Have a tailor pin the jacket to your shape and then take it in, he will probably take in a bit from the chest (below the armpit area) and shape the waist. Shoulders might still be a little wide but I think it's passable, it's off the peg after all. Sleeve length looks fine.

The tailor told me he slanted the hem a little bit but probably not enough. I'll try to figure out what I can do with the trouser bowing. And thank you very much! This helps a lot!

The hem problem might have to do with how the trousers pull from the sides, maybe it's not really short; but a little more slant if possible would help alleviate the problem, as there's probably no extra fabric to let them out. You're welcome

Add 1/2" to the front length on the left leg and 1/4" on the right leg and make the back 1 1/2" longer on both legs. To correct the way the leg hangs the tailor has to open the outseam and inseam and shift the front part down 1/2" on the outseam and up 1/2" on the inseam. This makes the inseam shorter and the outseam longer and the trouser will hang better. You would look better with a wider pant leg and a trimmer jacket. Try a size smaller next time and search out a different silhouette, especially the trouser.

Yes! An educated guess is that bowlegs are part of the underlying problem.

Whilst the coat might do for an RTW, the trousers are dreadful. Chris Despos has provided suggestions and I would certainly simply accept those and get them altered. Hopefully there is enough cloth.
