Gucci (Polo) Shirt - a present - Fake ???

Hi folks.

Got this as a present. I'm not sure, but it looks fake to me:

- shouldn't there be more on the labels?
- Gucci written over all the front? and the font?
- material feels like ok to good to me, but i never had a gucci shirt before

I've made 5 pics of it: http://imageshack.us/g/802/img0024acl.jpg/
You need more pics to decide, just say the word.

therefore:
1.) what do you think?
2.) if it's a fake: is it a good one (hardly visible)?

Grateful for any help!

Authentic, and you should be very appreciative to the person who gave it to you.

As a matter of interest, how can you tell if this shirt is real or knock-off? I have to say it looks exactly like some of the Gucci polos I've seen here recently, tags and everything.

Wow, thx for all your answers.

Just out of curiosity: how do you know/found out, that this is real?

That's what I want to know as well. Because the Gucci polo shirts I've seen here AFAIK are not real, unless they're excess production, seconds or rejects from the factories.

Put it this way, Gucci does NOT have any authorised retailers or outlets in this city. However the Gucci shirts I've seen here appear to be good quality, they're heavily branded front and back, and the tags and labels look like the ones in the OP's pictures.

My shirt only has the front branded. Nothing more.
As far as i am informed it is bought in europe (where and when i don't know), but shouldn't be a reason why it can't be.

Gucci does not make stuff so tacky or write their name on shirts. Some of these people on here have been looking at fake stuff all of their lives that they actually believe that Gucci does this and this is what Gucci looks like.

Guilty as charged, your honour.

So if you think those "Guccis" with the big names on them have anything to do with the real Gucci co. you know nothing and are a  inexperienced dupe.

That's probably about 1.4 billion people somewhere.

While I'm on the subject, I presume the real Gucci company doesn't make cellphones do they?

The polo doesn't look authentic, particularly the tags.. I've had numerous Gucci polos over the seasons..

The tag is what really gives it away.. I've never seen that type of print used on any Gucci tag, and the content seems unfamiliar as well.. Also, for future reference, Gucci sews two extra buttons on the tag for tailoring in case you pop one.

the real question here is wouod you wear it...

I could wear it in this city, it certainly wouldn't look out of place. Bonus points for spelling "GUCCI" correctly. :)

Gucci does not make stuff so tacky or write their name on shirts. Some of these people on here have been looking at fake stuff all of their lives that they actually believe that Gucci does this and this is what Gucci looks like. The most you will find on a real Gucci is the typical Gucci design or a small GG but 90% of the real stuff has no identifying marks that's it's Gucci. Ouy of the 100 or so men's shoes they sell none have any identifying logo except perhaps the loafers that people may recognise the bit as Gucci and perhaps one shoe that's identifiable as a Gucci like this-

What makes you an expert? working for Gucci?
By the way: seems to me you don't know much about gucci! Gucci has Polos with big written Gucci over it and it's not fake. Being sold for 200-400 bucks in Gucci exlusive shop!
And are comparing shoes to polos?
Anyway: This is how you answer questions by insulting people? if so, you're in the wrong place.
the real question here is wouod you wear it...

depends on if it's real or not. I really don't like to wear things which big are obviusly fakes!

Authentic, and you should be very appreciative to the person who gave it to you.
Welcome to Styleforum.

But to GET BACK TO MY PRESENT:
this two folks seem to grt around here and may have their reasons why they both thinks this is real.

If you would be kind to tell me on what basis you made your decision?

PS: i think the shirt s from 2006 collection (looking at the label)
