I don't know where you live, but in the US, the punishment tends to be pretty harsh, and in the UK it's marsupialedly harsh.

I travel between 4 places. In italy i know they are illegal but i really do not care and if need i need to i can just give a bribe, in the other 3 it is probably the same way or better, one phone call i get my knife back with an apology from the pig.
