-Brown chromexcel perforated captoe boot
-Grant last
-360 degree flat welt
-double leather waterlock sole
-goodyear rubber heel
-all eyelets

I guess this is dependent on whether or not Kathy can submit multiple orders to Alden at once (with the suede Indy already being considered).

I actually really like this idea, but I wouldn't want to commit to two new boot pre-orders. Actually, I'm holding on to the slim chance that maybe after the suede Indy is made (assuming we get enough interest for it), the Thor boot may actually be confirmed by then. By that point, I would just stick with the Thor and I wouldn't really have a need for a similar looking boot in CXL. If the Thor boot takes another 2 years to get confirmed (very possible), then I might jump on something like this in the future.

No problem! Hopefully it gets enough interest to be put into production.

I would be interested in this mto.  I would have a preference for double leather JR soles and a leather heel with the dovetail rubber insert.  But not having that wouldn't stop me from participating.  Let's see how much other interest there is.

I would also personally prefer a straight captoe as opposed to perf

I'd be interested in this as opposed to the suede being discussed.

Alden NYC already does a CXL perf cap, but it is on the Barrie.

^ I'd like that boot better if it had all eyelets. I seem to be very anti-speedhook lately, most boots have been looking better to me without them.

Also, an update on the proposed suede Indy, it only has 7 participants so far, and the voting is almost evenly split among all the options up for debate: pull-tab, eyelet color, 360 vs 270 welt, and even speedhooks vs no speedhooks is a pretty close debate.

If you haven't logged your info on the spreadsheet and are interested in this, here's the link:

I didn't give an in-depth answer on the Google Doc because I'm really sort of indifferent on speedhooks and pull-tabs. I think I said yes on both accounts. However, if we have speedhooks, I would rather see no pull-tab and if we have all eyelets I would want the pull-tab... if that makes any sense.

Even if one doesn't actually use their pull-tab on a pair of boots, it seems like it would be unnecessary on something with the speedhooks.

Thanks, we can keep that in mind and revisit it if we have to, like if the vote is super close at the end. I think we still need at least 5 other people to go in, so if we don't make it up to 12, then this will probably get scrapped anyway.

Anyone up for cigar or ravello jumper boot? Or are those impossible/back ordered to hell from alden
post #431 of 477

That would be near impossible, unfortunately. Don't hold your breath.

Yep not gonna happen.

I am in on a Ravello preorder that is 2 years and counting. And a whiskey boot preorder that is similar. A Ravello Brixton order from Epaulet is pushing 3 1/2 years.

I've wondered why the Ravello Brixton preorder is taking so long. I got on the Ravello Daytripper preorder with Leffot in October 2011 and got them in November 2012. The Brixtons were ordered before the Daytrippers. What gives?

Really absolutely no clue. Bizarre.
Yeah I wish I knew what is causing the holdup on the Ravello Brixton.

venividivicibj - you're better off getting in on a similar MTO with Carmina. I think you may have actually just missed the cutoff on a dark cognac jumper boot.
