They have ALWAYS sucked. You're just smarter now than you used to be.

Yup.

This reminded me of how much I 'don't get' Bruce Springsteen (will try to remember to cross-post in 'Things I Don't Get Thread'). Sure he's got a ton of great songs, but I just can't take the "AH WON, TOOO, AH WON,TOOO, THREEE, FAWH(drums!)

Same Same.

I'm sure I'm going to get flammed for this, but another band I can't get into is, The Beatles. There are some songs of their's that I like, but I've never understood what the whole craze was about.
It's the only logical solution.

Ditto.

I could never get into Coldplay. Whenever I hear them, I can only picture ****** TV dramas or movies that use their tracks in the background.

Now that''s just  talk re: the Beatles

The Boss is a terrific songwriter, it's his over-earnest performance style that gets me.

I've never heard Coldplay, but always assumed they sucked based on the guy who married Gweneyth P.

I personally like them but I find that all of their new stuff sounds almost the same.
On a side note, I find it amusing that of all the members on Style Forum, Kunk vehemently defends them whenever the topic comes up.

i have hated u2 since unforgettable fire so not sure what the **** you're on about, i've started threads around my hate of them

Nice troll, Neo. You can call it a day after that one cuz you've surpassed your quota with that one.

I've never dug Springsteen. Never seen the appeal.

It works in a variety of applications. For instance, my son asked me for the chords to some Nickelback song - I forget which one, they all sound alike - and I checked it out and showed him on his guitar. Then I wiped my hard drive, changed ISP's and set fire to his guitar.

I think your son is the problem here. I advise you go get the "Bloodstains" comps and work on fixing your hitherto horrible parenting. Then I would send him to Portugal, where they know what to do about nickelback.

"U2 sucks, so many newer, better bands out there. just the other night I saw this..."
go *************

this. BAD is the best song since 1980 (although a couple of Peter Gabriel's come close)

You Tube the early stuff from London when he weighed about 130 lbs. If you don't get it then, you're hopeless.

I think there are still active volcanoes you can jump into.

War was a great album and part of the soundtrack of my early youth. They went on to become something they should not have and I tuned out.

I like the cut of your jib. Scratch Henry behind the ears for me.

This might be my favorite video of all time.
