Amirite? C'mon guys, it's been waaaayyyy too long since we made ourselves feel better by criticizing music we don't like. We used to get these great "U2 Sucks!" thread like once a month! What gives? Don't tell me you're actually out doing charity work, you should be ridiculing Bono for it! Here, I'll start:

I gave up on them after Joshua Tree. They're so fucking lame now. Edge just plays the same three damn chords over and over and Bono....jesus [insert South Park jpeg here].

always thought of them as so seriously full of themselves after 'joshua tree' and bono thinks he's some kind of nobel prize deserving global influence. and remember "zooropa" and "pop"... crazy.gif

I know - a rock star with a messiah complex?! Can you believe it?! If I didn't have this internet thing to keep up with, I'd go out and show him what real charity work is.

I personally like them but I find that all of their new stuff sounds almost the same.

On a side note, I find it amusing that of all the members on Style Forum, Kunk vehemently defends them whenever the topic comes up.

Some of their old stuff is good. The last new song of their's that I liked was Beautiful Day. They're garbage..

This reminded me of how much I 'don't get' Bruce Springsteen (will try to remember to cross-post in 'Things I Don't Get Thread'). Sure he's got a ton of great songs, but I just can't take the "AH WON, TOOO, AH WON,TOOO, THREEE, FAWH(drums!)

U2 hasn't been good since Achtung. Joshua Tree was their high point.

FWIW, the guys at the guitar shop talked me into watching a documentary about Page, Edge, and Jack White. Edge was far and away the least-interesting person and story and player of the three. I gained a new respect for Jack White, though.

i have hated u2 since unforgettable fire so not sure what the fuck you're on about, i've started threads around my hate of them

I've never dug Springsteen. Never seen the appeal.

I'm sure I'm going to get flammed for this, but another band I can't get into is, The Beatles. There are some songs of their's that I like, but I've never understood what the whole craze was about.
