I have to walk in the rain today. :cloud:

Whiner; the town where I live usually gets only a few inches of snow a year but today we got a big dump, it's ******* knee deep out there and hip deep in places. It's the biggest snowfall here in over a decade. Can't ride my bike anywhere have to ******* walk like a peasant. None of the roads will be plowed or sidewalks shoveled because no one has the equipment.

No mr. asshole motorist I will not step into knee deep sludge just so you can get past me 10 seconds quicker so get off your ******* horn and wait until I get to the next drive way!

The unpleasantness was made up for by seeing all the rubes trying to shovel snow with found objects, one poor asshole outside a video store was trying to clear the sidewalk with what looked like an oversized soup spoon.

Also there is chaos in all the parking lots because when they parked their cars this morning there was only a sprinkling on the ground but 10 hours later after work they come back to find two feet of snow on their windscreen and no idea what to do about it. I'm sure there is traffic chaos as well because most people don't have snow tires, hope nothing serious but there will def be some fender benders out there tonight.

We got a dusting this year. We usually get a fair amount of snow. It has been a record warm winter this year, I hope this leads to a record cool summer.

What I hate is the look from my son that says "why the hell you always bitching at me about stuff like that...those other parents don't seem to care."
BTW, Globe: My boy was asking about you the other day. Wondering if you will come to Japan again. I asked him why he wanted to know and he just said he was curious. Probably hoping for another day where he can eat ice cream three times. Ha.

that would be cool. I told my son that the next time I go to Japan without going to another country, then he can come along, or if he is willing to fly alone and meet me there. so we might have a playdate sometime

My girlfriend and I are either going to go to Japan, or Iceland on our next trip. It would be a first time for us for either.

I have to walk in the rain today. :cloud:

enjoy - both are cool, hard to say which you should hit first. iceland is really cheap right now, but Japan is changing, so better to see it while it's still there.

One of the things I hate most is that I spend the first several hours back, even if it's just a four or five day weekend I take, with a host of people clamouring to see me/phone me/email me.

Delusions of grandeur.

This new job is seriously impinging upon my SF time.

I was about to post this... :satisfied:

Right, so the Carthusian Monks who have made Benedictine since 15-something still haven't manages to make a cap on the bottles of their most exquisite liqueur that can be removed absent a pair of Channelocks. This is really, really, annoying.

Actually.... Benedictine is made by a Benedictine Order of monks, but not Carthusians. Although the Carthusians do follow the Order of Benedict, they make Chartreuse. Of all the people I expected to get their spirits esoterica incorrect, you sir were not one.

Party Down was taken off of Netflix Instant today and I had 3 episodes left. :fu:

I was saving basically all of season 1 and 2 because it was on instant, :fu:

Cool! I expect that Pokemon Center and the Manga Museum in Kyoto would make for a hell of a day.

One thing Japan is not doing is changing.
