Agreed. I completely refuse to leave the house until I take a *********** morning. There's nothing more irritating than getting settled in at class or work and the sudden realization that you're about to **** your pants.

I laughed so hard when I saw people's reactions to it, I'm pretty sure I peed...

+1 public dunnys are malum locis.

I'm kind of happy about the pee comment however it is usually the young ladies that wet themselves in my presence.

these lyrics:

I don’t play football but I’ve touched down everywhere
Everywhere? Everywhere!
I don’t play baseball but I’ve hit a home run everywhere, everywhere
I’ve been to countries and cities I can’t pronounce
And the places on the globe I didn’t know existed
In Romania she pulled me to the side and told me Pit you can have me and my sister
In Lebanon yeah the women are bomb
And in Greece you’ve guessed it the women are sweet
Spinned all around the world but I ain’t gon’ lie there’s nothing like Miami’s heat

Pissing me off: first day back to work after a long weekend vacation. *sigh*

as i mentioned to MrG, iirc, not too long ago, the slide back into reality after vaycay is the worst. like actually the worst. post vacation blues are killer.

just poast your face off for a while and delay re-acclimating to work.

One of the things I hate most is that I spend the first several hours back, even if it's just a four or five day weekend I take, with a host of people clamouring to see me/phone me/email me, all intent on trying to drain my rejuvenated soul. I noticed several years ago the looks of disappointment on peoples' faces when you refuse to get worked up about a situation or dragged into needless drama. I swear 50% of being a good leader is just refusing to let underlings work you up about stupid **** or play into drama. I have also found conversations need about 50% less time once people realize all you want are facts and solutions/suggestions.

No, girl in my division who is terrible at her job, you don't need to give me any feedback on that item I worked on. You were really only given a copy for your information and files. Also, our boss and his boss both reviewed and approved it. Oh, and I'm not making any material changes because the document was submitted from a level of management whose words we aren't authorized to change dramatically (you'd know this if anyone trusted you to work with these folks).

But, hey, thanks for wasting five minutes of my life giving me useless, unwarranted, unsolicited feedback!

x2 to this. It's not that complicated. I hate when they try to make it more complicated than it is.

I ate a Fiber One bar out of the snack pantry at work. Now I am having the most disgusting gut wrenching farts.

So true. Good bosses that I have had have made me feel better about situations and look at them rationally when I have come to them freaking out about things. They just keep it cool and ask the right questions and essentially tell me to handle it. Something I have learned to do myself.

Out of curiosity, were you always at the same company? Like did you "work your way up". Or did you jump around a lot?

I made about five strategic moves in a decade with the last move being to my current employer about eight years ago. I moved around enough to know Fortune 100 companies are not my thing as I hate business travel.

I hate business travel as well. Actually I work for a Fortune 100 right now, but there is close to 0% travel involved, which I like.
