P.S. you are one judgmental, angry, sad (and apparently alcoholic) man EL.

No, he was right, your post was ridiculously whiny.

No wonder your "friend" is just taking advantage of you to score bottle of absinthe. Who the **** needs a bottle of something for a school project? Is this show and tell in the third grade?

not really pissing me off, but its the one thing that has been on my chest for the last 2 weeks and was making me quite unhappy.. Thankfully itll come to an end tonight..

Lately ive been involved in a number of new projects most of which are very interesting, especially on a financial level.. Since I was the one who was recruiting a friend of mine who was going to lose his job in a month or two had asked if he could participate. I told him I didnt have a problem with it and would be glad to have him on the team, with one catch that it would ultimately be the other team members call..

What happened is that my friend really got into these projects but wanted way too much (those who bring a lot to the table get a lot, its the only way to go) for what he could contribute. The other players caught on, and allthough they wanted to share from the start this behavior killed any trust in him they had.. So in the end, it was a no go because of his own behavior.

Allthough I dropped numerous hints in the last two weeks he didnt catch on untill yesterday afternoon, which made me feel really bad for him. tonight I going over to his house with a good bottle of wine to explain all this, and hope he takes it well..not looking forward to it.

I still can't find a goddamned apartment.

I swear, without sounding like a paranoid conspiracy theorist, that the whole application thing/rental thing/credit thing is geared against young people, especially young men.

People see that there are two male cooks, 21 and 22 respectively, trying to live together, and automatically think we're going to be doing coke lines off the kitchen counter and partying it up.
I just want a quiet spot to ******* sleep for the few hours each day I'm not at work

You got good credit son?

I wish I had some better cashflow rather than just having a lot of available credit on cards. I'm sure someone would rent to me if I slapped down 6 months rent in cash.

I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner for 14 tonight at our house. We are hosting her side of the family, plus a friend or two. I have been busy cooking all day, including yesterday, when I was doing prep work and also cooking dinner for the in-laws, who have been staying with us.

One of my dishes is a mushroom stuffing with sage and bacon - nothing spectacular, but homefood, made from scratch, and freaking delicious. Well, the MIL decided that was not "traditional" and she thought people "might not like mushrooms" and wanted a "more traditional" stuffing. So at this moment, I have been kicked out of my own kitchen, and I am falling behind on stuff, while the MIL makes her "traditional" stuffing out of pre-made ingredients (like seasoned croutons) and vegetables I chopped for her (to get her out of my kitchen faster - you should have seen how she started going about chopping the onion) to compete with my own stuffing. So here I am, while I should be frying sage leaves in butter and making creamed spinach, typing to you clowns while my MIL hogs my kitchen.

You need to make sure your daughter is on your side. She needs to act extra cute so as to pull Grandma out of the kitchen and out of the meal!
