I experienced one myself, and I've seen two friends experience ones that were probably worse than mine. Thee mind can have adevastating impact on the body.

Sorry to hear it, I hope it doesn't happen again or that you can recognize and get help before it gets to that point.

Thank you. I have been quite solid for two years or so now. Sometimes I think thhat alcohol has sort of relieved my anxiety, but maybe that is a whole other problem. I do not know. I can say, however, that a nervous breakdown feels awful. Laugh if you want but mine occured early one morning (2 AM or so) when I saw a moth flying around in my room. I just broke down, could not breathe, and had to go to the hospital because my lungs were not receiving oxygen. To this day I don't know why it happene. It was a very sdtrange experience. I went to a psychiatrist, etc. and I think that is settled.

So last night we went to a football game for a school on the other side of town, and my friend was trying to find his girlfriend in the packed stands, well he could not get to her and but we spotter her, she was next to this guy who she talks about alot but says he is just a "friend" , so he is pissed and we leave back to our side of town. Anyways, I'm going to make this long story short, my friends brother calls from a bonfire later that night on the other side of town saying he caught his girlfriend cheating on him. I was just the worst watching him react to that and breaking up with her, because he would have done anything for that girl, it was pretty depressing.

Digital is the way to go. Once you splurge on a digital cam there is no going back, unless you want to perfect your skills with a camera and go back to film later, which some people prefer to do. Cuts on film costs, I know that.

Also, my job is being moved from Dulles to the Baltimore airport effective this week. Easier commute, but I liked my old location

Technically it's in an area outside of Baltimore that really isn't all that bad (not Brooklyn Park or Westport or anything, if you're familiar with the city). Having worked at BWI before I don't mind it, I'll just miss Teh Dulles.

And a Maryland State Police helicopter crashed early this morning, killing 4 on board, including a paramedic I worked with a while ago when I was first starting out. The first crash since 1986 for MSP.

Just got back from a16 hour direct AA flight from Delhi.

so this old guy sits down next to me, coughing all the way down the jetway and to his seat, serious body wracking coughing that goes on for about 20 minutes non-stop. of course, he doesn't try to cover his mouth and he is talking the whole time, to his wife, to me, to others. I am convinced that he is going to get me sick, so I go talk to the stew about moving me - I am riding on a $5K ticket (just that leg) and I am a platinum member, I figure I deserve not to get sick. so there are no seats in business or first, and I am not sitting in economy for 16 hours after having paid for business. while I am talking to the purser, a few other business class passengers join me to express consern - one of them says that he is sure this guy has TB, and his coughing sounds like it.

I usually have a surgical mask in my bag, for just such an occasion, but I used it a month or so ago on another fliight, and forgot to get another one.

so, I am arguing with the purser, and get to the point where I suggest that they should have a doctor check the old guy out to make sure he isn't going to infect the whole plane (and, yes, maybe that was too much, but this guy really sounded like he might have TB or something serious, and you never ******* know).

anyway, they basically tell me that they can get me on another flight in 24 hours, or I should shut the **** up. so I sit back down, and of course 10 minutes after take off the guy stops coughing, and I spend the next 15 hours sitting next to him, with him giving me dirty looks, and everybody else having forgotten that they were worried about him, too. I am the asshole here.

anyway, hopefully I don't have TB.

AFAIK, TB in India is as common as chutney. You have all the right to complain and express concern for your health, GT. I'd do exactly the same thing. And I think you should go in get checked for TB, and let AA know about it.
