denver doesn't really appeal to me.. all the more so because i don't ski or snowboard.. although my boss did invite me to go snow biking at one of his mansions in montana so i'll probably take him up on that lol

The sudden and urgent realization right before I closed the shop that almonds are about 500% fibre by weight, and I'd consumed ~1 kilo of them (and only eaten almonds) and two litres of black tea during the course of the day...

I thought you were trying to be economical Liam... you ate 2 ******* pounds of almonds??!! I think you just consumed about a year's worth of vitamin E and at least 6 month's of magnesium... be careful, you may spontaneously combust! Not to mention what may (WILL) happen as a result of the fiber!

I got stood up on my date. I text her saying "I'm out front wearing..." and she texts me back "****, I'm stuck in traffic and I don't think I'm going to make it. So sorry!!!" So, I ask her "are you far? I can wait for a bit." She says "I'm FAR." I ask "How long have you been stuck for?" and she says "Its been a while. I completely forgot and wasn't paying attention to the clock."

1) Denver has good Mexican food.

2) Denver would be way more awesome if it were founded and heavily populated about 100 years earlier. It's a quite a young city, and so it really doesn't have much personality unfortunately. In fact, it's to the great detriment of the U.S. that the Rocky Mountains aren't about 1500 miles to the east, or else we'd have a whole slew of great mountain cities with more historical character. And aside from California, it might have the best combination of weather and outdoorsy *********** country. There's so much sunshine nobody is depressed. Seattle and Denver need to work on an exchange citizen program.

Probably closer to a pound and a half. I can't put *********** fridge at work, and its moot cause there's no microwave and while I leave the house at seven, I don't get to work til ~2-3pm so I can't take perishables. I get almonds for about 2 bucks a pound so they make for good snacky food til I get home.

Also, not will. Did. I pretty much yelled "Gotta ****, GET THE **** OUT!" at my customers then did my level best to stress-test the new jersey sewer system's capacity.

I don't think it spent long enough in me to do any good.

so last week my car got figured in an accident with another car while being driven by my employee- a very minor one. told him to get all necessary paperwork done so there won't be a problem when the other party claims from my insurance. and today my employee tells me that the other party was asking me to pay for some deductible cost which I'm pretty sure is covered by my insurance, or else they'll sue. so I talked to my lawyer and he advises me to just call these motherfuckers first which I did. was explaining to the guy that my insurance has everything covered and all, and we were chatting nicely when suddenly he asks me to hold and I can hear him talking to his wife and suddenly I hear his ************* of a wife raising her voice about why am I telling them what to do. and the ***** decides that her husband has said enough and starts dealing with me and as I tried to explain to her how insurance claims goes, she starts raising her ******* voice at me. so I told her to stop raising her voice and let me talk, and I told her my insurance rep will call her and she suddenly goes no, I don't want to talk to your insurance guy. wtf??!!!!!

okay as I was typing ***** texts me that all she's claiming from me was the grand amount of approx $68. wtf?!!! this crazy ***** is arguing with me for $68?!!! dammit!!!

+1 and  funny thing is they all look ten years older than they actually are and I look ten years younger!

Yeah...I sometimes feel a little bad when I see peeps from high school on facebook. Luckily the magic of newsfeed (I don't even know how people get picked to show up on there...its not like I comment on their **** or visited their pages before they start appearing) has recently shifted to what appear to be a couple of happy couples from HS who apparently got together afterwards. Some of them are still in what I would think of as kind of ****** life situations working menial crap jobs and maybe haven't put a lot of thought into their future but they are in love and look genuinely happy.

Hopefully it doesn't switch me back to the loser rejects who got uglier or had kiddos

I went to denver in the summer a little while back to visit some friends and it was awesome. I love skiing so I had sort of been hoping for a winter visit, but it was literally quite awesome in the summer (and actually, the weather is pretty mild in the winter...you gotta drive UP into the high altitude mountains to get any sort of consistent snowcover). I don't know that I would really want to live there--maybe for cultural the reasons SH was articulating because the outdoorsy bits were *awesome*--but it was quite nice to go visit. Sadly, my friends also didn't want to stay there and have returned to chicago.

denver/the rockies are gorgeous in the summer!

chi town is probs my #2 place. its definitely got more culture and is a better "city" as far as being a real hub of culture and history and shopping and eating and people...... but i am a sucker for the outdoors, so denver gets my #1. but its a narrow margin. both are phenomenal places to live.
