Great collection! I really have to say EG's burgundy is a thing of beauty! Same Shannon this week. I meant to wear my blue ones but I was in a rush and grabbed the wrong pair:

At least you didn't grab one of each in the dark.

We are working on future orders and curious about what you gentlemen would wear more, Nightshade or Midnight Blue?

Funny, you say that. I was excited to pick up the Inverness in Burgundy at Brooks Brothers during their Corporate Sale. I went to the 346 Madison Avenue store and was also discouraged by the color. I found them to be sort of pink-brown. Certainly not Burgundy as I'd seen before on this model at Edward Green trunk shows. Didn't buy them.

Yes - the Inverness in burgundy antique. They were returned. They were damn near pink. Not for me.

Yes, it could be the lighting in the above photo, but Burgundy has a tendency to look like a heavily antiqued Old Rose color. Perhaps a little too casual or clownish for some.
I prefer Bauxite.

The dover is burgundy and the brummel is nightshade. In the sun nightshade comes out lighter.

Correction- Burgundy is great! It's Nightshade with which I take issue. Mea culpa for the confusion. Thanks for the clarification Unipair Guy. Cheers.

Imagine a scale of conservative EG colors to wild colors, with Black at 1, Dark Oak at 2, Burgundy and Edwardian at 3, Indigo at 9, and Cardinal at 10. I would put Midnight at around 5 and Nightshade at around 6. Both colors are outside what most men would wear to the office in the legal, banking, or consulting professions. But neither of these colors draws much attention and I find them both to be tasteful with a suit and tie. I have a pair of Falkirk spectators in Midnight and Dark Oak, and I feel comfortable wearing them to work. I would feel the same about Nightshade. However, if I had to choose which of the two would be more office-compatible generally, I'd say Midnight. Outside the office, both colors are fantastic - dark enough for night life and special events, but also work well with odd trousers and jeans during the day. Very versatile colors, with a bit of extra interest. Both winners, with a slight nod to Midnight. I hope my comment is helpful.

Being I have 3 pair of EG's in Midnight, I would be interested in a pair in Nightshade.

I'll take Nightshade over Midnight. Is the nightshade like G&G's cherry?

I love that nightshade and would glad take a pair in that color. I keep looking with the hopes you will have a pair in my size-- 8F on the 888.

Thank you all for your opinions! Here is my two cents. Nightshade changes a lot between indoor light and outdoor light. Indoors it looks rich and sexy. Outdoors I really like it with lighter gray pants. Midnight can be subtle depending on what your wearing but then it catches your eye and it just pops. Maybe we need both colors in our future orders.
