I'm of no help on a railing but I do like the steps and patio.

Thank you. There are some other pics
looking out the other way in this thread. We were going for a contemporary look without getting too crazy so we could match the house.

Lack of kamado joe cut out when doing our outdoor kitchen island was a misstep. No good way to add it now. Might have to resort to a freestanding one. Live and learn.

My electrical problem was fixed. From the 3rd hand explanation, somebody wired the doorbell and outlet wires into a three-way switch, probably misunderstanding what the wires coming into the box were for.

You must get a Joe. I've seen some nice grill tables so maybe one of those?

Deer countermeasures. We're probably going to jack some sections of our perimeter fence up to 10 feet, but in the meantime.

Thanks!

One more -- replanted a large-ish Camelia and had to build a small stone revetment to fix it on the slope. Seems to be holding. I learned that you actually pay extra for field stones that already have moss on them.

My father put up a bunch of those motion activated water squirters so if they come near the plants they rapid fire water like crazy. It works well, but if you have to walk back there be prepared to have water hitting you like a machine gun.

Some animal is now onto our strawberry plant. Looks like I will need to get some netting myself. May need to strategically place a store bought berry in the planter to keep my sons interest while the remaining ones survive.

Animals are really good about eating fruits exactly when the ripen. Every time I thought, "that strawberry will be ready to pick tomorrow," it was gone the next day.
