For staple work shirts I (like 95% of SF members) like light blue, with the odd pink or white shirt thrown in for good measure.
For casual / casual Fridays, I think more or less anything goes, but then again I don't really see a need for the whackier patterns--for one thing, they're much harder to pair a tie with. So I go for gingham or a thin stripe on white. Works for me.
