AE
I think this is a good example of the Blind Brogue style.

My understanding of the definition of a blind brogue is "a plain shoe with wingtip-style perforations.". Is my understanding incorrect, or do you feel that this shoe image is just not a good example of that style?

Fritzl, I realize that "brevity is a great charm of eloquence", but you're not giving me much to go on here.

Is it the lack of faux seams around the broguing that you feel makes this a less than good example of a blind brogue, or is there some other aspect you feel is missing (and if so could you state what that is). I appreciate your knowledge of shoes, and hope to learn more from you.

hey, don't worry too much about an single opinion.

imo, this is not a question of learning, just preference. i'm not entirely sold on the last shape for a wholecut. besides, they are not among my favorite styles, each to his own.

i like the medaillon but not the wing tip line, which ends nowhere. also i prefer a heel brogueing opposite to the naked "as.". the throat line is a bit too theatralic, either.

normally, i'm not very picky with details but when it comes to brogueing, i'm quite conservative. that's all.

GAHHHHH You got them before me..... Enjoy! (then sell to me)

Didn't know we wear the same size. :)

they are actually half a size larger than what I typically wear; however, the extra toe length is very slight. I am very impressed with the last used for the boot. It is sleek and has enough volume in the ball and toe area which makes it very comfortable.
