Which of these cufflinks with a tuxedo?

Hi guys Cufflink.jpg 62k .jpg file Cufflink 1 shirt.jpg 97k .jpg file Cufflink 2.jpg 25k .jpg file Cufflink 2 shirt.jpg 92k .jpg file ,

I have my wedding coming up and have got my tuxedo tailored (single button, peak lapel, no vents, grosgrain facings - very happy with it). I will be wearing a marcella dinner shirt that I also had made and am looking for some cuff links to go with it (concealed mother of pearl buttons, not studs). Looking for opinions as to which of these two cufflinks would be more suitable to wear with the outfit (or if I'm way off target)? Saw a very nice set from Deakin & Francis but unfortunately with shipping the timing to get here in time would be too tight.

Thanks for any help smile.gif

All IMO:

TBH neither really floats my boat - with dinner suits I think simpler fits the bill better.

2 plain faces on a (chain or simple) link would be perfect IMO, or a metal barbell. I prefer that my cufflinks match the watch metal if I am wearing a watch.

I personally avoid cufflinks with hinged backs (both your examples), as they take the least effort to make, benefit no one except the maker, and to boot look ugly from the 'inside' where only the hinged bit can be seen.
