Ah yes Quantimil, the return of the chocolaty brown short wings. Lovely! I like the way they look in the sun. How long have you had them? Mine came from the RL warehouse with so much wax on them that they were almost gummy, so I've held off on the Reno for now. All I've done is wiped them down with a damp cloth and buffed the excrement out of them. Have you thought about putting taps on yours? I'm thinking about going with metal on the toe and plastic on the heel.

I've also noticed that my alden's seem to wear quicker on the soles when compared to my Marlows, with the exception of my Alden LWB's which have a double water-lock sole. Who did the recessed toe taps for you? I've liked the results that I've seen from people who've used B Nelson for their flush mount toe taps.
