Self Edge SF/NY/LA/PDX - Japanese Denim & More (Iron Heart, 3sixteen, Flat Head, Strike Gold... - Page 250

Ended up getting the Sugarcane 2009, Dry Bones Red-D Slim, and the Flat head F310. Wish the F310 had button fly but oh well... they were lighter weight and actually in stock haha

Super excited now.

I did just read in a forum somewhere that the F310 bleed an insane amount. Indigo bleeding is partially what scared me away from dry denim in the first place... but once i got my APC/3Sixteen i figured i was just being silly. However these sound like they actually DO turn everything radioactive blue ha ... is this an issue with the higher end japanese brands? Cause my mid level jeans barely bled at all. Just curious..

Thank you Kiya. If I wanted the most fading/character, should I soak/wash them right when I get them or after several wears? I am just trying to understand the whole shrinking aspect of the jeans, i.e. if they look best without washing for a while, but I buy them too big (so they shrink to the correct size after the first wash) then I'll be wearing jeans that are too big until I wash them (holding off on washing since I want the most fading). Is there a happy medium?

Buy them one size up, soak them in warm water for 30 minutes, they'll shrink down one size, then wear them and wash them when they become dirty.

Depends which. I doubt the drybones will bleed much, but my FH's turned even my hand blue when using the pockets...

I actually came into this thread now to post the same question:

I'm sick of my skulls staining everything I own. I've worn them months non stop and they still bleed, but only washed once when purchased.

What's the best way to stop the bleeding? Wash 5x in a row on cold? On hot? Will anything work?

I've been through a pair of APC NC's and NF Weird Guys.
However i gained a little weight for sports and im looking to invest in a looser, yet still slim pair of higher quality denim. Preferably something from sugarcane first then flathead, imperial, samurai. Something similar to APC NS fit.
I'd appreciate suggestions on certain cuts.

I think the Sugar Cane 2009 would be really good for you, either that or the Flat Head F380.
Both are available now:

Will there be a restock in the Sugarcane 2009's?

Kiya, put this in the motorcycle wear thread, but it's probably better here. What's the story/timeline on Oscar apparel? Thanks! Tom

Oscar should be out by September starting with two boot styles, three jackets, and two gloves. In January there'll be a few more jacket styles added and some headwear.

Indigo bleed amounts vary from denim to denim, but Flat Heads and Skulls are some of the most pronounced. It's most noticeable on your shoes and hands (visible when you wash them).

A few initial machine washes took care of that to a degree for me. It's a good idea anyway, especially with the Flat Head to try and get the additional shrinking out of the way. Additional washed in the first three months helps too.

Yea, i was looking into the 2009, but no one has my size. Restock? Also, why the f380's and not the f310s? Are the F310s more of a skinny fit?

What color are the SL-200x - 14oz Nihon Menpu (Japanese) Black Selvedge Sanforized Denim jeans fade into. Can I expect blue to peep out when it starts fading ? Pic from Selfedge http://www.selfedge.com/shop/images/...lack_01_02.jpg
