How do you carry coins?

Coins go in the pocket, in a jar - not in a purse. Drives me up the wall when I'm standing in a queue for coffee and some guy is fumbling through a purse for coins.
I'm in a grumpy mood for a Friday :embar:

I fumble extra long when I hear impatient people huffing and puffing behind me:)

+1 on the girlfriend thing. My girlfriend puts her extra change in the tip jar out of understanding how annoying it is when people don't tip and not out of not wanting to hold change.

One time I was doing some fundraiser thing asking people for any money or loose change. I'd say 8/10 guys reached for their jean pocket while about half the girls carried a separate coin purse, and most of the others had a wallet with a coin section.

This was in Hong Kong too, where you do need change for bus rides and cheap food. The smallest bill in Hong Kong can get you an almost full, hot, delicious meal, but a $1 gets you a bag of chips or a candy bar.

I can't imagine putting change in suit or trouser pockets. I'm ok with jean pockets because they're tight enough against me that they don't clink every time I take a step. I'd also imagine that it creates an uncomfortable, uneven weight distribution.

vest pockets or in jeans (of course I don't wear both together). I get rid of the coins as quickly as possible though usually by putting them in a jar at home.

+1. Get rid of them as soon as you can.

Carrying coins is an unfortunate reality. I always just use the coin pockets that are built in to the waistband of some trousers.

The Tip Jar. If that fails then I give my coins to whatever companion I have at hand.

I do have a coin pouch in my bag.

I throw it in my briefcase, then empty them out in a jar at home when it gets too much. Never in my pockets. Or in the ashtray compartment in the car, and use the smallest denominations possible to pay at the drive thru. $6.93? Sure, a five, a one, and 93 pennies coming right up

I feel like a man should have at least 50-75¢ in the coin pocket of his jeans at all times. Never know when you're gonna have to feed a meter, or make a difficult decision.

I never have a penny on me. Never seem to need any cash. Keep some coins in the car for tolls or a parking meter. Don't even have $10 at home. Only exception is when I hit a poker table and win.
