Hi guys, I've been trying to pick a causal loafer out (not boat shoes). I've come up with a few options, but I've never heard of any of the brands. I wanted something like this (http://www.unionmadegoods.com/quoddy...Sole_1557.html), but less than $100. Here's the three that I found. http://www.zappos.com/gravis-rieder-ii-dark-navy http://www.zappos.com/type-z-baden-dark-grey?zlfid=111 I also like these, but I think the white sole looks pretty bad. http://www.zappos.com/type-z-trey-black-suede?zlfid=111 Any other options that I missed?

Also, this would be more suitable for the quick question thread.

I wanted something non-leather though. I thought that a suede loafer was a good replacement for when boat shoes are worn.

And Rompson, I'll keep these questions in the quick question thread from now on.

Unfortunately suede, attractive, and under $100 are one of those "pick two of the three" situations IME when it comes to penny loafers

Yeah, those are the ones that I wanted, but out of my price range at the moment. Did you buy them for $225? I figure at that price, I'd be better off buying some AEs for work.

Buying another pair of Allen Edmonds just puts you on par with everyone else in the office.

Investing in a quality pair of casual pennys like the Quoddy's pictured puts you well above most people out there on a Saturday or Sunday.

Shoes are shoes, whether for work or casual. If you want good suede shoes that will last more than one season, get the quoddys.

+1. I used to have Tods but they never lasted for a very long time... (meaning 1 year tops -.-)
