That's too bad too because I thought he was one of the more informative posters on the forum.

No kidding - he's not even checking his PM's.

I caught a post he put on our hometown newspaper site, about a new policy implemented at our shared alma mater (high school) and sent him a PM, but he hasn't even responded to that.

Perhaps some bigwigs from the old country, tired of his meddlesome ways, paid him a visit...he always was a bit too avant garde for that set.

I think a large number of SFers, if presented with a few choices by the Reaper, would like nothing more than to be ruthlessly bludgeoned to death by lasted EG and Lobb shoe trees.

We'd all die with giddy smiles on our faces.

Hm, that comes shockingly close to sounding like the English vice... not what I expected from you, young Connemara...

If I recall correctly, he some time ago suggested he was going to China again.

I know, I know. For all of my red-faced ramblings, I make a few concessions for the enemy 'cross the sea. Speaking of water... "The sea, oh the sea is the gradh geal mo croide, Long may it stay between England and me; It's a sure guarantee that some hour we'll be free, Oh thank God we're surrounded by water!"
