Thanks in advance. Not sure why the right arm looks weird...

Thanks as always for all the replys. To be honest, I am at a loss what to do. It is a 36S. I'm only 5'6", 125-130lbs and have a measured 35.5/36" chest. The jacket armpit to armpit is 19.5" and it seems impossible to find anything smaller. Guess this one will get posted in the B/S forum.

Don't give up. Just keep checking ebay once in a while. It took me a few months to finally find a tweed that fit (I'm a 36S, too). BTW, don't look just at the chest. The shoulder measurement is even more important and these are too big for you. 36S shoulders have a wide range, but I find that 16.5" shoulder works best for me, YMMV. Just keep checking the measurments. Also, look at 35 and 34 jackets on Ebay. Maybe even 37. Like I said, the measurements vary wildly between coats.

The shoulders actually felt like they fit...maybe not? They measure 16.75 as I know not to by anything over 17 for obvious reasons. Guess I need to look for 16.5" and under. Nohio, would you mind posting a fit pic of your tweed so I can see how it should fit? Thanks

Rugby by RL, try it. You're in NJ, go to short hills mall and hit up the rugby store.

Those old school harris tweeds are always gigantic, I'm a 38R and stand no chance of finding one that fits.

I'll weigh in with a contrarian opinion and say that the fit is in keeping with its intended use as country or weekend wear. It's lumpy with just a shirt, but a Harris tweed jacket in my opinion looks overly fastidious and out of place when it's too fitted. If the intended purpose is to have a nice, casual jacket that can be worn with thicker sweaters, scarves, waistcoats, caps 'n cords and that kind of thing, the jacket is fine and conveys a more relaxed impression.

It's not too big at all. The body of the jacket actually appears to fit quite well. The shoulder width is good, too.

However, the collar looks loose and the right sleeve looks like it needs rotating. I would also taper the sleeves at the wrist a good bit.

If I foofed this, the changes would be fairly minor compared to most cases.

Thanks, I actually though the shoulders fit good, but its already been sold so off to find a new one. Sold in less then 15 min in the B/S section of the forum. Hopefully the new owner can enjoy it.

I'm not sure he's standing naturally so the rotation of the sleeves may not be off.

I just don't care for the styling of the jacket. The roped shoulders and the buttoning point below the waist don't do anything for me, especially together. And he should pull the flap pockets out.
