relasting a shoe from size 11 to size 10

Can a shoe be relasted from a size 11 to size 10? Who can do this for a plain toe single monk shoe in manhattan? Thank you!Originally Posted by Azul

What makes you want to do this in the first place? Did you buy the wrong size online and now can't return them?
I'm sure that what you are asking is possible but I suspect it would be expensive. If you can't return the shoes for some reason, Rebel's advice sounds like the best idea to me.

Strictly speaking, it is possible. However, seeing almost everything save the uppers would need to be replaced, and a high probability that it may go out of proportion, the cost and time taken to do this versus simply buying another pair in the right size would need to seriously considered.

Going a full size will change the configuration of the shoe. For example, the relationship of the throat to the vamp may look/fit awkward. The lines may appear out of place.
Patterns on new shoes are "graded" to fit and look appropriate for each joining piece and the over-all look and fit of the shoe. Physically it can be done on many shoes (depending on the construction). Cosmetically, in most cases, the shoe won't look right on your foot.
When new shoes are being constructed the patterns are cut over-sized so they can be trimmed in the closing process. After those steps are taken it's a different story changing the shoe by a size.
If attempted, the entire shoe would need to be taken apart. The re-sizing would have to start from the insole, then the toe-box, welt and, sole.
In all, it's more complicated than I can explain.
I advise against it.

I just had a similar conversation with EG about re-sizing or re-lasting, although my question was primarily about width, not size. They can't do it on their own shoes.
