What sucks is that I'm only a 30/31 waist, which makes it difficult to even find a 10.5" rise. I don't know why rise is tied exclusively to waist size. I'm sure girth makes a difference but so does height.

Anyway, I've had luck with Nom De Guerre's classic fit jeans. I'd say they're pretty similar to APC NS but with a little higher rise. They might be hard to find at this point though with NDG being shut down and all. Other than that, LVC 47s are worth a look if you're looking into Levi's. Warehouse jeans also usually have higher rises.

hey..thanks for the reply. funny you mention the 47s..
i went to LVC store today and tried on about 7 paris, the 47s and the 54s were my favourite...
just deciding if i should pay the 215 pounds retail or find them online for cheaper..
but they are nice

The lowest rise you should wear is 9", lower than that and it's uncomfortable. I'd look for 9.5-10" rise on a slim-fit pair of denim. If your upper body is a lot bigger than you legs, then really skinny jeans will accentuate that. This is coming from my experience. We're around the same height/weight, except my legs are bigger, and I have smaller shoulders than you.

You must sag them like crazy. No way I could fit them comfortably.

Not really. Tuck and tape.
