Verbatim quote from current Ebay listing :

"You are bidding on a brand new with tags Prada suit. I personally purchased it at full price during a recent trip, but I now suspect that it's a counterfeit, so bid accordingly."

Opinion on this jacket?

Luciano Barbera JAcket

I asked the seller for measurement and this was the response:

sure, shoulder to shoulder is 20", pit to pit is 23", sleeve length from bottom of collar is 32", total length is 31.5". great jacket, pictures don't do justice! thanks for your interest!

Seems off for a US 40/Eur 50.

It's not a sport coat, it's outerwear -- look at the cuff treatment.

In this category, the measurements are standard for the size.

Does anyone know how old this is/who it is made by? I have a 38R sport coat that fits like a glove. It is double vented though - is this going to be different from that? The labels are the same and both are made in Italy, but the tag with fabric composition is different.

Interesting.... I've never seen that tag before. Anyone know who the manufacturer is? Is the seller's MSRP of $3000 an outright untruth or is it a higher end Polo suit? The button stance makes it appear a bit outdated but all other Polo I suits look outdated too.

the tag is the older Corneliani tag, as might be expected with RL's ongoing relationship for the tailored clothing in the Polo and signature blue label lines
not sure of the age, but the low button stance and unvented style probably imply 8-10 yrs
retail is currently 12-1500 I believe and $3k gets you firmly into RLPL territory, so retail is markedly inflated

I'd guess it was made 1999-2001. Retail back them was appx. $850, probably $1200 or so now.

Brand new unaltered on that navy 2B Polo suite could be easily had for $300-$350with some patience so that may give you room to negotiate with the seller.
