Bingham, can you share the exact way you ordered the sole, midsole and heel on this boot? It's exactly what I want on my first pair.

My understanding is that the half slip is simply an aesthetic choice in that it exposes a bit of leather on the sole.

I am still interested in hearing people's opinions on Burgundy CXL vs Brown CXL vs Natural CXL, but here's another question as I work out my specs:
Can those of you who have worn both the 55 (Semi-dress) Last and the 461 (sprung toe) Last comment on how they compare with regard to arch and foot support? I want the support, but I also like the sprung toe look, so want to make sure I would get the former with the latter.

Apologies for being late back to the party, the soles on the Oxfords are not the best for wear. I have worn mine virtually none stop for almost a year, and the pics show the results, they are without a doubt the greatest shoes I have ever owned though.
For the next two years I will be exclusively wearing my incoming Bounty Hunters for the HWBC, so my oxford are semi retired I guess.

Doesn't look quite like any of the browns I have seen from White's. A real basic, old fashioned brown.
