You can just imagine the waif's planning that hit.

"She knows we can change our faces, so we'll have to come at her some other way."

"But she knows that we know that she knows that we can change our faces, so..."

yeah wtf at Arya being so unconcerned at the fact that she had a target on her head...

Gotta say these Faceless Men are pretty over-hyped. By rep, they are the world's greatest assassins, capable of killing the best protected of monarchs. In practice, they are a couple of dipshits who can't manage to kill a low-rent actress or a teenage girl.

Yeah...that was odd. The last episode left us with "she's blowing out the candle so the waif will have to come for her in the dark...and she's used to fighting blind".

And today she's like "I'll just run around the city undisguised...It will be ok"

Meh...All we really see are two trainees and Jaqen (who we know is kind of a badass).

Both of which are kind of shitty trainees. Arya is...well...still Arya. The waif thinks she is all that, but she clearly holds a grudge against Arya, which is definitely not something a real faceless man would do.

Don't forget throwing around bags of gold like she's rich as fuck and making it rain.

Well...Arya could probably steal that kind of money if she wanted. She's been trained pretty well.

How about the theory that it was Jaqen disguised as arya? I can't really see it working in the realm of the show (since it seems like they only peel faces off dead people), but a lot of her behavior was very uncharacteristic of Arya.

Although she could have been trying to draw attention to herself. But unless she planned on getting stabbed in the gut and escaping through the water without a place to go...her plan doesn't seem so good.

"So, I have a feeling that those bad guys on horses are going to come back and fuck you up, but it's not a strong enough feeling to prevent me from chopping wood in the next county where I'm sure not to hear the screams of your women and children as they're slaughtered. Okay?"

Little she-cub saved the episode. Sort of.

To be fair, we are supposed to believe that the sand snakes are trained efficient killers.

The waif may be trained, but she was definitely trying to make it long and painful. Still kind of an unbelievable amount of stabbing to subsequently hold your breath for a while and then swim to safety...

GOT version of "gutshot"

I tend to think it's more realistic for someone not to be immediately incapacitated by a mortal wound than for them to immediately fall over dead. Which happens seems to depend on what the plot demands.

I was a bit disappointed when Osha, who is supposed to be a veteran warrior despite being a skinny girl, just fell over grasping her neck after Ramsey beat her to the punch. I've never been stabbed in the neck (obviously), but I would have expected her to be determined enough to follow through and stab him back.

One of my friends was stabbed in the stomach with a small knife maybe less than 3 inches long and he was able to get help without stumbling around and dying. Granted he was only stabbed once and not multiple times but I guess being stabbed in the stomach is not as fatal as it may seem.

We joke about it now that the reason why he was okay was because he was overweight and had a layer of fat protecting his vital organs.

It's sad when the toughest motherfucker in the episode is a ten year old girl.
