If they can pull it off, I would like to see the chain. It is a big sequence though and they do have a wilding army to show soon.

I just hate the claustrophobic scale of everything made necessary by the budget: King's Landing, Winterfell, Harrenhal. The Iron Islands has been the only sequence where I felt I could breathe. You see this claustrophobia in secondary characters as well. How many scenes will Ros going to show up in?

The fact that North of the Wall is mostly (or all) live shots should be telling. I actually applaud their hesitancy to cram the show with CG where it's not absolutely necessary.

Use the natural terrain when you can, but I would have added a few CGI shots to increase the scale of the castles.

The wilding army will be interesting. It'd better be huge.

I for one am disappointed that they didn't use real dragons.

Castle walls are plywood and paint - digital or otherwise. 50 wooden ships with men crashing into each other against a giant chain and burning with green fire would take a little more effort. You notice there hasn't been any huge set pieces yet? Even King's Landing looks pretty small. Hope I'm wrong.

I was wondering if they couldn't take that approach with the ships--a couple of short cuts showing the whole battle, then closer scenes of people/ships/chain/green flames. But I'm certainly no expert--maybe what I'm suggesting would totally suck in practice.

They can and probably will. For the record I have idea what will happen. Maybe they will throw a ton of EFX at it. I hope so. A little Poseidon action ala JatA would be great.

alright episode, not a lot of action. the never ending story by robs girl about her brother was a horrible waste of time.

but theon getting PWNED by his sister in the first scene was win.

also, when they bring out ros to tyrion, that was cool. cersei all proud of herself, for nothing.

outside of that, not very much remarkable about it afair.

Don't be so sure on this. Plans within plans within plans. Maybe Cersei knows Shay is the real one and just doing this to make Tyron think she's fooled?

i was wondering that. but for now, she has the wrong girl. and i imagine tyrion will now be extra careful. but the way things seem to go on this show, my guess is shay gets slaughtered eventually.

also, i wonder why arya didnt name tywin. the dude who gave her 3 deaths is awesome btw. i wonder who #3 will be.

I really hate the Mountain this season. The dude they had cast last year was so much cooler. I know he's barely in Season 2 or CoK, but man, at least cast someone who looks like last year's guy somewhat. I'm sure it's confusing people out there who don't even realize it's the same character. Not to mention, this new dude doesn't look brutish or crazy the way last year's did.

Funny though, the guy who played Amory Lorch is *exactly* what I pictured reading the book.

Did you watch the most recent episode? She tries to name him but he's already gone. So instead she names Jaqen, thereby blackmailing him to help her escape Harrenhal so that he doesn't have to kill himself.

Where the hell's the coin?
