I don't recall eating there anytime in the last 4 years or so, so I can't really say whether I enjoy it. I'd try it if that was the only option though.

**** KFC. This was my parents' guilty pleasure, and occasionally we would pick it up after a 49er game. I just wouldn't eat anything those nights.

It's alright. Closer to the good stuff then most 'fried chicken' you find up here.

When I'm home in NC, Bojangles all the way.

I used to git my chicken at Git- Yo Chicken Fish & Burgers. But then it closed.

I'm not going to question your taste, but seriously? You prefer KFC to Ezell's spicy? Because of flavor? I think there's something wrong with you. Admittedly the "regular" is a little bland, but they spicy? Damn. You in Skyway or the CD?

KFC EXTRA CRISPY!

Ezells has a location in deeper Renton. Not many people seem to know about it.

The one in Skyway or the one on Duvall? Remember that I'm coming from either Bellevue or Georgetown, pretty much everything is "deeper Renton" to me.

Does anyone make it themselves? I watched Tyler Florence make it on tv once and it looked really good. He said the key was double dipping the chicken:

Dip into buttermilk.
Dip into seasoned flour.
Repeat.

It was the pot of hot oil that had me skeptical.

I've attempted it. Determining two things - simpler is better and the temperature of your oil is everything. You MUST regulate the temperature of your oil.

Skin is the best tasting part on a piece of fried chicken. Eat it the right, not half ass it.

I prefer Popeye's only because KFC decided to get rid of their spicy recipe chicken. I am a big fan of fried chicken though and regularly indulge myself with Roscoe's and Honey Kettle here in LA.
