Rolex Air King - Bracelet question

I don't think Rolex typically changes the interlug width when updating a model's case unless the case size itself has changed. However, if your goal is to use a current AK bracelet on an older model watch, you could run into trouble with it actually fitting together right (in spite of the measurements).

I have no idea what the actual measurement is, but when you said "still 19" that implied you knew for a fact that the pre-2005 Air King was 19. If that's the case, I'd bet on the current version being 19, considering that it is on other pieces having undergone similar cosmetic changes. However, I have no basis to comment on the # 19mm as the actual width.

I doubt you'd have a problem with the AK. I have a little difficulty with my 40mm Explorer II, but that's a larger watch. if you're really concerned about the fit under French cuffs, and like classic styling, check out any number of JLC models. An RL fanatic should love them!

Thanks Captain.

I'm thinking about putting it on an alligator strap by ABP Paris. I like the reverso, but I like the AK better. Blasphemy I know ~

Hey, I'm a Rolex guy myself and from JLC I actually prefer the Master Ultra Thin to the Reverso. Since I personally prefer Rolex's older styles, and they are a tad less chunky, have you considered just calling around to dealers (usually ones outside major cities) to see if they have new old stock? I seem to recall seeing a post on a watch forum (blanking on which) from a few months ago about a dealer in Western Mass/Upstate NY that had some.

I have many watches and enjoy the Air King for everyday use. Just like you said the size does not interfere with my cuffs.
