The New School: Eugene Lang, Looking to transfer

So I recently re-entered college and I'm finishing up my AA degree at a local community college while I look for the place I want to finish my degree. I've recently looked in to the Eugene Lang School of liberal arts in NYC. The program opportunity are generally thrilling to me as they very much encourage interdisciplinary study and creating your own courses in fields I find fascinating.

I'm wondering if anyone is a graduate of the New School, especially Eugene Lang and if anyone might have any advice for me about getting accepted or jsut more information about the school. Thanks!

I'm already your source of dangerous warehouse parties. But yeah ha, even if I don't get in to the New School I intend to end up there.

Additionally my ex went there for puppeteering where they offer an actual degree in it. What have you decide to major in?

As private liberal art colleges go it seems to be about par for the course. As for the major, I want to explore a few of my own ideas under their Media % Culture umbrella.

Do any of those degree options actually give you a chance of landing a job?

Seriously, the New School is astronomically expensive and it isn't really a brand that you will open any doors; lets not even talk about the major.

The only reason I actually have heard of The New School is because DeNiro's girlfriend in "Heat" says she went to Parsons and DeNiro has never heard of it.

I looked it up for some reason. Key point; a lot of people outside of NYC have probably never heard of the New School.

1) for a private liberal arts college the price is pretty much average. Also having already done two years of schooling at community college I would only be paying two years worth of tuition.

2) fuck a standard job/career path

Do you have better options? I'm not sure a no name lib arts school is something you want to sink 6 figs into.

Good luck! A couple years ago I was going to try and transfer to the New School for Architecture and Liberal Studies, ended up doing something else.
