And yet you participated! This has been an a very fruitful experiment.

Did I miss something along the way? I read the first post with a mixture of sympathy and understanding for Foo's plight - well, not really so much understanding because no one ever stops me on the street to ask where I got my Ed Hardy wifebeater or leather pants, but I can only imagine how it must be for someone of Foo's stature to get quizzed every day on why he wore the same shoes he wore yesterday, and why all of his jackets fit the same, and why he never wears anything but blue shirts from some sweatshop in Napoli. I mean, isn't he supposed to have style or something? Really unfair questions, if you ask me, and I feel for the young man.

And then I skip ahead to the current posts and Foo's getting all sorts of vitriol. I didn't read the interim pages and don't want to get a migraine in the meantime. Can someone summarize this thread in a short burst of one-syllable words (English, please) - or, better yet, emoticons - so I can follow along?

Here is my serious answer:

After entering (and doing quite well at) Esquire's BDRM contest, people that I know or meet act differently around me and I do not like it.
(some of SF)

Of course everyone thinks you know and care a lot about clothing. Your clothes got you on TV. Also it should be no surprise that your clothing, the fooshoe in particular, is not to everyone's taste. This is neither surprising nor something worthy of a post in MC. DT, on the other hand, is the perfect place for this kind of thread.
(the rest of SF)
fight[1].gif
totally unrelated posts

Here is my not serious answer:

POAST

musicboohoo[1].gif
facepalm.gif

I hope these help you in accurately gauging your interest level in this thread and in formulating an appropriate response. I have tried to use emoticons where they added to the narrative.

If anyone else had posted this, everyone would be sympathizing with the OP and lamenting the noobiness of the general populace. Very unfortunate that it was

I'm going to have to +1 this.

Honestly, he has his own style and nearly won a competition for it. His exact style is not my thing, but apparently it was appreciated by more then a few people. I think anyone can imagine how much sh*t a guy could get from family and friends once it was known he was in a best dressed competition. Should he push back a little? Sure, but that does not change the fact that he is going to get questions and ragged on by a lot of guys who see him and wonder why he's "dressed like their dads."
