If we're talking about a solitary act it has to be hitting and natural cycle. Single, Double, Triple then Home run. A perfect game is dependant on your fielders. Pitcher's toughest acheivement , 20 K's, Wood, Clemens & Johnson I think in the last 20 years, now that's pretty hard.Originally Posted by Slopho

Which is why it is the hardest feat in sports to accomplish, because it completely relies on the flawless performance, for a single game, of an entire line up. One miscue by any of your fielders, one poor pitch selection by your catcher, one unlucky call by any of the umpires, and it just another well played game. Yesterday, Braden only K'd six and walked none, his teammates stepped up for the other 21 outs.
Spose this is a good point. But if we talk about 'accomplishments' that are hard, I personally appreciate those that require more personal will/determination. That said I still recognize the absurd difficulty of a perfect game.

The most impressive part about that game was the fact that they weren't playing slubs. The Astros were good that year. Look at the names of people he struckout. Biggio, Derek Bell, Jeff Bagwell, Jack Howell, Moises Alou. Some serious ******* baseball players.

Somebody mentioned Kobe - but forgot about the 100 pt game by Wilt the Stilt. I think the 81 pitch baseball game is it because it is feasible within the rules, cannot be topped, and has never been done.
