I'm learning from the past few responses that you guys aren't nearly as old as you appear to be from your styfo personas.

This. I thought most of you guys were in your 40s/50s..

LOL, 41 here, but I could probably fool a few of you into thinking I'm 39 or something.

My short list of self-owned cars, far less impressive than your guys':

1990 Mazda Miata - 8 months (sold for BMW)
1987 BMW 325is - 3 years (currently trying to sell)
2003 Mazda Protege 5 - 1 month

After 3 years of a 26 year old BMW, felt like something more modern. Although it was fun, it just felt tired. Also the fact it was an automatic was kind of a buzz-kill. I am loving the space, practicality but also the fun-factor of the Protege. Although it's a wagon, it is so nimble and fun to drive. Very happy with it.

Someone in my building bought one of these, its in 335is price range, is faster and is electric. Call me a hippie but if I had $70k lying around its this I'd buy.

:slayer: My config would probably be closer $90-100K, but it is a very, very nice car.

I'm 36 but have been told in MC that I have the wardrobe of an old man. LOL

Beautiful car, worth a requote. I miss the intoxicating whine of the V12 in my old CL - that was one glorious sound, and ride. The growl of the S63 makes me happy though.

JayJay, how does the supercharged 63 compare to the biturbo? I have always had and liked twins.....Heavily modded Lingenfelter Twin Turbo Camaro 1200hp, lightly modded Supra Twin Turbo being my other twins.
Never ever driven a supercharged car :embar:

Regards.

A bit of turbo lag, but when it gets going it feels like a rocket. Scary fast given it's size. I'm still getting use to the size, even though I've had an S-class before, just not with this much torque and power. My CL was so much lighter that I felt as though I could whip it around much more. The V12 was also much smoother and stealth, which I liked.

CL stands for Comfort Leicht. Appropriate naming, then, I guess
