you know the other case I would think of using an M-60? if I knew a group of people were going to be in a house or a spot, and I wanted to try to wipe them out. you can pretty much destroy a wood/pressboard house with an m-60 and a few hundred rounds at 300-400 meters, without being a great shot. of course, the downside of it is that you need to know how to fire 300-400 rounds without jamming it up, but that's the type of thing that tv never worries about.

I think that Walt gets the gun to go up against Jesse.

My reasoning: Jesse finds out about Brock -> has a falling out with Walt -> Mike takes Jesse's side -> Walt has to disappear -> Jesse rises to power.

It would be interesting if this whole time we were watching the wrong guy rise to power. That being said, I think this is pretty unlikely.

I'm going to assume that the Walt/Jesse story arch will end after the first 8 episodes, and the Walt/Hank story will be in full affect in the last 8.

Was about to post that too. Except that I dont think we know yet why Jesse goes after him.

After reading everyones speculation about the M-60 and who is going to end up on the business end of it I've come up with my own speculation. The essense of the show has always been Walt and Jesse's relationship. I think someone is going to come in and destroy that and Walt is then going to go into killer mode and reign down hell fire on whoever did it.

I think the Cartel is going to come down on Walt and Jesse and Jesse is going to end up murdered, maybe even Walts family. Walt flees Albuquerque and lays low until he can formulate a plan to seek revenge for Jesse's/Family's murders. In the season opener you could see his determination and the same murderous look he had when he knew he was going to kill Gus. He is going to extract his revenge knowing that he himself will probably go out in a blaze of glory. Like he said in a foreboding fatalistic tone, the M-60 is not leaving Albuquerque.

We have 6 episodes left and I'd say they're going to use 2-3 more episodes for set-up before things start spiralling out of control.

Maybe not. Getting up a lab and generating some revenue is not a simple matter.

The lab doesn't have to be on the same scale as Gus's. Besides I think Neo meant setting up the plot line for the grand finale.

I've said this before, but I'll say it again:

You know one thing that makes this show so spectacular? In the last few pages of this thread alone, there have been a LOT of extremely creative, plausible, and workable (read: entertaining) speculations on what might happen...and it's likely we're still all going to be wrong! Love it!

the ending of the shield was great. I am hoping for something as powerful, but not the same

Yeah, I need to rewatch that show.

PS - You guys must be crazy if you think Walt is personally going to use that gun. I'll put it all on the line that he's NOT going to and it WON'T even be fired.

I highly recommend you everyone listen to the Breaking Bad Insider podcast. It provides some awesome insight into how the show was made....just a lot of cool insider details from Vince Gilligan, Cranston, other actors, editors, and directors.

For example, did you know that creepy ending in the last episode actually involved Skyler giving Walt a ******* so as to prevent him from ********** with her?

The copy I watched was a little dark in that scene. I figured something sexual was going on but I couldn't tell what exactly..

You didn't see it because the editors cut the scene short to only show Walt getting creepy on her. I mentioned it because we wouldn't know that was the original vision if not for the awesome podcast.

I would have preferred that version, wonder why they chopped it.
