Right expression though.

Funnily enough, I've been eying a pair of these:

I've seen these in Sydney for sale in different colours. They look better than most chukkas I have seen. Is Churchs getting their mojo back?

Moar

Wonderful vintage vibe in that last with the mild spade soles...but then the whole look is very sharp and 2011.

You have put paid to a lot of the ignorant talk about Carminas round here...

Thanks man, these two examples are very nice. I've already worn the dark brown pair twice even during crappy weather here in the city. I look forward to posting pics in the Character thread once I wear them at least two dozen times.

Speaking of spades, how's things coming with those vintage NOS finds? You always hit pay dirt with that.

These would look and wear better on a rubber sole.

Carl - these are Conistons actually. I'm a 7.5US/6.5UK.

They look really good in the navy as well.

I have them on a crepe sole and they're great. But I like the idea of the leather sole for the days I want to dress them up a bit.

Hello everybody, this is my first post after lurking for a while.

I picked these up at Bicester Village, this week, for £160. Not a bad way to start the year off.

I'm particularly impressed with the Nevada calf leather. It picks up a lot of different colours in the light and is very soft and comfortable.

Got lucky on craigslist by pure chance. Saw the ad while searching for something entirely different. Damage: $100. Need a nice clean/shine and we're good to go!
