Flapped patch pockets make it a little OTT. Plain patch pockets would be much better

Disagree. They add gravitas. Besides, I abhor plain patch pockets.

Beautiful. Fifteen years ago I had the waistline to wear it.
Then I stopped running.

I love the color, but I'm not sure about linen for a DB. (Not that it matters to me in this particular case, because I'd need to have some ribs removed to wear it.)

Blue linen is excellent for a lightweight summer db jacket. Just don't wear it when you drive.

I guess because I think of linen as a lighter, casual fabric, which runs contrary to my mental impression of DBs.
