For the record, I fully support the "no cussin' in thread titles" initiative. Indeed, my post in the thread in question was a joke about profanity in thread titles. That said, this thread would seem to imply the second entry in your list is not off limits.

Yes, but what about those of us with Italian mothers? Surely what passes in their kitchen doesn't pass in others, and vice versa? Can we really compare, for instance, the kitchen-acceptability of certain words in a Jewish kitchen versus that in an Indian kitchen? Or that in a Swedish kitchen versus that in a first-generation Vietnamese-American kitchen? And what about African-American kitchens in the deep South versus those in the gentrified Northeast? What about Chinese-American kitchens, in which the family's surname is Wang or Dong? That's a lot of kitchens and a lot of cultural relativity.
