Hi Gents,
Off to a BYOB party tonight with my gfs sorority. I'm not gonna know many people there so I'd like to drink something uncommon to spark a conversation with. We're likely going to be drinking the same drink the whole evening. Any recommendations on a drink won't get old throughout the night, we will both enjoy (neither feminine nor masculine drink), and is somewhat easy to prepare?

Thanks,
Chris

Haha, I'm sure that won't be a problem, most college aged kids have three or four of those in their rooms.

Sour.

I vote hot toddy or good sake.

Although when my friends and I got some absinthe, we poured the absinthe over the sugar and lit the sugar cube on fire before putting it out with water and then stirring. That was pretty fun.

But you're not a fan of campari? I would like to try it at least once.

I'm not a fan of Campari either. It tastes like grapefruit juice, which is startling if you're trying it for the first time and have no idea what to expect. Also, immediately after ordering it, a friend turned to me and said "What are you? 80 years old?"

^ Campari does not taste like grapefruit juice, though there is a certain citrus/rind quality to it. It is proprietary. It is both very sweet and very bitter (not sour) at the same time.
