Styleforum WAYWT Hall of Fame?

So there have been some really great WAYWTs lately and I've realised we don't have an active dedicated thread to the best recent WAYWTs such as StyleZeitgeist's Hall of Fame and I wonder if people would be supportive of such an idea.

Basically every month people suggest WAYWTs posted from a month ago until the present time that they believe are the crà me of the crop, best WAYWTs for that month (about 2 or 3). Then others chime in on what their thoughts are of these WAYWTs and post their own nominations, until there is some general consensus and agreement on one or more of the WAYWT being inducted into the Hall of Fame for that particular month.

I would love to see something like this personally, but it has to be a group effort, so it'd be good to see who is in favor of something like this. If many people like this idea, I don't see why we can't make it a reality.

So, vote, discuss, would you like to see a StyleForum WAYWT Hall of Fame?

that one is not really moderated, and is just people posting random stuff.

I would like to see a hof, with emphasis on quality and maybe a writeup about each entry.

Actually I'm considering writing a program to just index every image posted in the WAYWT thread and making it easy to navigate with a better interface.

Great idea ^, yes I agree that thread got offtopic very quickly and consisted of best WAYWTS of all time not just current, some of which weren't from StyleForum, this would be like a current report on the best WAYWTS of each month, that way it would be only a few select WAYWTs and it would be relevant to the current styles.

I wouldn't really have anything against it. too often people give their approval/disapproval based more on the quality of the photo rather than the actual outfit the person is wearing, but I don't see why we can't give it a shot.

Too subjective in my opinion. Unless you categorized it like...

Best Americana/Workwear fit
Best Avant-Garde/Runway fit
Best Casual/Denim fit
Best Dressy/Formal fit

etc. or something along those lines for each month, then I could see it working, provided people were not being idiots.

Because I know I'm not into the workwear stuff. But someone like Berlin has epic casual fits, Phat Guido crazy dressy fits, and then you've got like socal with the super high end designer **** and uncontrol with his avant-garde fits. I wouldn't wanna have to deal with EG fits erry month. It'd get damn boring.

WAYWT should have a poll/rating system for each post. that would be cool. then maybe a separate hall of fame for highest rated each month or quarter or year. that might be cool.

a good fit is a good fit, whichever one is the best gets inducted.

No offense to the forum rat Xenox but **** like this only adds Lubriderm to what is the forum circlejerk.

Let the reader figure out what's best suited for his needs instead of pages of bullshit about how user xxxx rocked the **** out of some H&M better than user xxxx did with some Ervell.

Who ******* cares? There's already a thread dedicated to photos only. Let that be the reader's guide instead of assuming that our audience is to too stupid to discern a good fit from a bad one.

When bored, I have been scanning through the WAYWT from the beginning for a while to pick out the best stuff, which I was going to post in the "Best Of" thread. Haven't done it for a while.

Au contraire, I think this would stop circle jerks, after all when it comes to the best fits there is no consolidation prize, it would encourage people to explain their choices and discuss on fits that are agreed apon and ones which aren't. The thread dedicated to photos only has quite a number of fits and has no seperation of good and bad fits, this is ofcourse good because it is a democracy and shows you everything, but on the flipside having a seperate thread with the best WAYWTs will concatenate the best fits and make it much more evident and clear to see what SF considers the crà me of the crop. Lastly, 50 pages from now in the WAYWT picture thread, the best WAYWT of today will be but a memory for most, but in having a thread like this people will be able to easily reflect on the best WAYWTs from long ago, without having to go through 50 pages of varying fits.

Just looked at sz one, utterly pointless unless there are cash prizes.

Au contraire, your horrible middle-school spelling aside, that last bit was exactly my point: a thread like that would only re-emphasize the "SF uniform" and, as I wrote before in case you missed it the first time, pass the Lubriderm to the left-hand side. SF is better when the "majority" doesn't extoll one style or another but embraces the sartorial rainbow. But then you knew that; otherwise, why the **** would anyone create a poll about creating a thread? "Lastly," if you love SZ so much, why don't you just marry it?
