Edit: Oh god. I see you're selling them too (in Buying and Selling Forum). Were that they were new in my size (8.5). Why are you parting with them btw?

A tad loose on my feet. (Ditto the Lobbs. I have slightly narrow feet.)

I know what you mean. I size down (8.5) and usually am a US10 so I can actually get a better fit, even if Kiton does tend to run a bit big.

I've been looking for those very shoes, but I don't know the name of them to make proper inquiries. Are they "whiskey punch medallion captoe" ? Any pointers to name would be helpful.

Whoever picks up those shoes from you is very lucky. Nice price on them too for so, apparently, gently used.

Thanks Arg. Because their two most distinctive features are 1) they're wholecuts (i.e., made from single a single piece of calfskin) and 2) that beautiful medallion, I refer to them as chocolate medallion wholecuts.

Some are making statements about the amount of handwork in various brands but I think it can be tough to have definitive evidence and knowledge of how much work is involved.

All that matters to me in RTW is that the final product is well made (mostly handmade at high price points), beautiful, and durable. In bespoke I believe most of us would expect fully handmade product on a comfortable, perfectly precise last.

That shoe is very near identical to mine, except that it has a more rounded toe, like the one VR has. (post #257) My toe is more squared than round.

I saw a full brouge Kiton at Bergdorf this week that actally had me seriously considering dropping 2 large on a RTW shoe.

They are exquisite.

If you like that, and it is indeed a beautiful shoe, then you should consider G@G's bespoke full brogue. Its pure evil!

There's a chocolate version on their website, in the bespoke gallery.
