"Black and Blue:" Good album or bad?

In another threak, the Rolling Stones' "Black and Blue" got slammed by a couple of people. I don't really understand this, because I think B&B is a fantastic rock record...Crazy Mama, Hand of Fate, Melody, and especially Hey Negrita, which is one of the most infectious Stones songs ever recorded! So, if you dislike B&B please tell me why.

When I read the title of this thread I thought I was in DT because I mistook the album in question for this one:

Horrible, I know. Why can't "artists" be more original with album names? I realize it's the Backstreet Boys but come on.

It is no Some Girls.

Unforgivable, as with everything post-Goat's Head Soup.

Not their greatest, but I still love this album. Worth it just for Crazy Mama and Hey Negrita. Of course, I am a big Stones fan, so take it with a grain of salt.

Seriously, I could listen to Hey Negrita over and over and over again.

its a stones album i am not familiar enough with to pass judgment upon...

It's a very good album. It doesn't compare to their legendary '68-'72 period. Nor was it a later day classic a la Tattoo You. But if you listen to it in it's own right, it's funky as sh#t.
