I was at the opening of the new tailoring department in Harrods last night.

I was actually pretty impressed. It's definitely a vast improvement since the last time I was in there (which admitidely was some time ago).

They've now got quite a large Loro Piana section which had a £3800 cashmere cardigan which was completely lined in Beaver fur...

Decent size Kiton section - not sure if there was one before? They had some beautiful leather jackets there.

Among the new sections are:
Zegna
RL (Black / Purple Label)
Dunhill
Cucinelli
Corneliani

Dunhill had a pair of cufflinks which were made of Mammoth Tusks (£800) - really ugly things - shaped like a tusk - could have done much better with the design.

There were about 50 people there and they had a raffle (first prize won a £1800 briefcase by Dunhill, Second prize was a MTM suit from Zegna (which I missed out on by one digit!!).

If you're in the area it's definitely worth a look around.
