LL Bean + Rogues Gallery = LL Bean Signature - Page 56

I picked up the corduroy suit when it went on sale because corduroy is balling. You will probably need to have a bit of work done. They aren't the worst fitting off the rack but the construction and fabric were... both pretty great.

The sleeve buttons are functional, which is a pain in the ass, but I only needed them shortened a very little bit.

Ill take post wash pictures tomorrow when the sun is out again. these jeans have been compared to APC in this thread, i have never owned a pair of APC but i know Rogues Gallery carries them at their location in Portland. so im not surprised that there are alot of similarities.

I bought the trousers and the jacket in the navy and liked the fit out of the box so much that I turned around and ordered the grey as well. I'm about 5'8" and 165lbs and the 40r in the jacket worked for me with minimal alterations through the body of it. My only complaint is that the working buttons on the sleeves make it sort of outrageously expensive to have the sleeves properly shortened if you need to, at least outrageously expensive relative to the overall price of the jacket.

The tropical weight trousers are some of the most comfortable dress pants that I own. I wish they had more colors because I would order them in a heartbeat.

Wanted to mention that I found many of last season's sale items under the sale section of the main page of the website. Go to sales>men> and then click on "signature" on the left hand margin.

For some reason, these are not listed in the Signature section of the website any longer.

New fall/winter arrivals are up today

In addition to this season's sale items there are some nice pieces from last season's fall collection as well (judging by the number of reviews already posted), and they're at a deep discount. The wool blazer with bellows pockets, for example, is marked at 99 down from 245.

Hmm, I like the Hawthorne dress boot. And crap, I'm a sucker for the Bean boot and now they've gone and re-introduced the 1939 version. Here goes some cash.

Yeah, those captoe boots look nice.

If I didn't already have the katahdin's, I would pick these up...they look sleaker although the lack of speed hooks would be a PITA (a cobbler could probably rivet them into the lace holes though)

Link? Or is it already gone?

It was up yesterday. Went to buy today, and it was gone. Called customer service and here's what I've pieced together:

Turns out there was a misstep in their posting of new arrivals. Essentially, the wool blazer up now is the same jacket from last season but in new colors. When they posted it as a new arrival, they updated the same template from last year, which had the end-of-season clearance price still marked. Looks like a 24 hour error they've since fixed and which I'm kicking myself for waiting on.

There is some good news though: According to customer service, there is a very limited number of wool blazers from last year's signature line available in "dark brown heather" for $99.00. They do not appear on the web site and they're out of catalogs that contain it; nevertheless the woman in customer service described it to me: It's much lighter than this year's brown blazer, and has subtle dark brown stripes over a lighter brown/gray base.

I had the same thing happen yesterday. Earlier in the day I saw the Stag coat for like 125 then in the evening when I went to purchase, it had gone up to 225 frown.gif

Damn!
