Airism is the poly/spandex blend

I wear them as undershirts, but quite and a bit sheer thin by itself.. wife wore one hiking once and didn't realize how rude it was until afterwards

This has nothing to do with fashion (sorry Fuuma), but since we have a lot of Scandinavian and Finnish posters that check up on this thread pretty frequently, I figured I'd pose some questions they might be able to address pretty well:

I'm beginning to plan for a month-long solo backpacking trip through those weird northern countries whose languages I don't understand at all, and I was hoping I could get some recommendations on landmarks, social activities, you name it. Trip won't be until next year—March or a bit later. I don't really intend to sleep in hostels for the most part (I'd bring a good tent, a sleeping bag, and an insulating pad for the ground), so I'll hopefully save money on shelter that way. Mainly I just want some bitchingly awesome nature and a good time with the locals. I'm also still trying to figure out whether I should make my way through all of the Scandinavian countries (plus Finland), or if I should just pick one or two to see.

I don't really want to derail the thread, so please PM your thoughts if you'd like to share them with me. satisfied.gif

I personally would be interested in seeing discussion on Scandinavian recommendations as well. Another thread is fine too, but in all likelihood if I ever visit those places myself I'll remember there was good discussion about it here and hunt that shit down.

- Throw away anything that comes between you and your wears.....everything...put that money towards more wears
- No shorts. My official pair of shorts are white Orlebar Brown Setters
- Wear nothing but Viscose/Virgin Wool/Silk pants. This goes back to my first point, juts feels niiiice
- Light and thin (almost see through) knits
- Keep it simple

This is easier said then done some of you guys don't benefit from the "tropical breezes" and having a tolerance for heat helps.....and of course not convulsing and breaking out with heat rash at the first sign of 90+ weather...looking at you LAguy
I like the idea of silk pants, I wear 100% silk pajama pants at home during summer and hang around the house in them but the few times I've went out with them and started to sweat a bit they stick to my legs pretty bad so wondering how you deal with that

You haven't lived until you've tried some silk or viscose though

silk is generally terrible in hot weather.

Linen-silk blend is nice though.

if you fit a 38 (tagged size 2) there is 1 more pair on Yoox (USA) ... due to the pleats it should be more accomodating. I have to take in the waist in my size 3. I can probably swing the size 2, but I'm afraid the taper below the seat would be too severe for me (size 3 will be approx. 19cm after shortening the inseam)

edit:
FWIW the pair on Yoox is slightly different. Double pleats, which sweep inward rather than outward.
