I have two from past seasons and they're my goto fall weather wear. I really love them. I can't speak specifically to that color and denim, but I'd imagine it's close but not too close.

Really trying to resist the millerain jacket on final sale. It's like $131 shipped after everything, not bad.

Has anybody seen these at the NY Store? I like the look of them, and more importantly J. Crew Ts fit me quite well.

Is that all they're doing with RG besides the bag? The tees are cool looking but at $70 a pop they aren't that cool looking.

For every one of the elitists that bags on J Crew, there is one wearing a $1000 outfit but looks like a clown. I'm not going to go in that thread and "throw down" because it's just not possible to convince them they'd look better in a $50 J Crew outfit.

For anyone has who done alterations on their Jcrew bottom down shirts (either secret wash or the ox or flannel), did you also alter the side? Or did you leave the side so the bottom of the shirt will look flat post alteration?

It's tempting but I don't want to disrespect anyone. I do agree with some in the random thoughts thread - to take your time and pick your high end pieces slowly because there is always going to be something better right around the corner. I think the ones who have problems are those who buy everything thats talked about whether it fits right or not so they end up looking like high end douche. Then there are those who do it right - like Phat Guido who takes us to school every day so I'm not saying high end fashion is a waste of money.

For those who take pride in themselves and their appearance J Crew has it's place, because anyone who wears their clothing will look better than 90% of the mom jean population. I don't think anyone in this thread is fooling themself into thinking J Crew stuff is better than Engineered Garments but it's classic basics done right. I don't need any special custom tighty whiteys or tie-died euro briefs.

^I agree with you completely. I just know that when guys build a vast wardrobe quickly or are always hyping a new brand, there will be a whole bunch of clothes that will go unworn.

Like I said on that thread, I get just as much enjoyment out of a cheap J Crew polo as a pricey Mister Freedom shirt.

Can anyone speak to the shrinking properties of the thermals/henley's in this season (they seem to have a rice weave, if my terminology is at all correct). They run 39.50 and 42.50 respectively. They fit me great, but I can't afford to shrink them in the sleeves or length or I'm in trouble. Thanks.

Cold water wash with woolite dark, hang to dry. Shouldn't have a problem.
